55 022, should once again be in operation at the Scottish Railway Preservation Society’s Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway Summer Diesel Gala.
The event takes place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July and on the evening of Friday 24th July and once again promises to be a fantastic occasion.
In addition to ‘Royal Scots Grey’ hauling passenger trains on both days, the visiting locos include the famous British Railways Green Class 40, 40 106 ‘Atlantic Conveyor’ and 2 Class 50 locomotives, 50 007 and 50 017. Add to these Bo’ness based 20 020, 37 025, 37 703 and a true English Electric feast can be expected. Other based locos working should be 26 038, 47 643, in addition a guest loco from Colas Rail and possibly others will be taking part.
At this stage we do not have details of trains to be worked by 55 022 and are awaiting timings from GB RailFreight for the loco to travel to and from Bo’ness, we will endeavour to advise this information as soon as it is available.
Looking forward to another great couple of days and hope that many Deltic fans will join us, details of the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway can be found at http://www.bkrailway.co.uk/ and information on the SRPS Diesel Group can be found at http://www.srpsdiesel.co.uk/
