DelticsatKingsCross

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, our friends at the Deltic Preservation Society are holding a special celebration at the Bluebell Railway, this will take place between Friday 6th and Sunday 8th October. We are delighted to announce that 55 022 ‘Royal Scots Grey’ will be taking part in this event, which should feature 3 other working Deltics, D9002, D9009 and 55019. It is also hoped that a surprise visitor can be added to what should be a Deltic ONLY event.

Planning is in the early stages at the moment but in addition to an intensive Deltic hauled train operation, the event hopes to include at least one dining train on the Bluebell and if possible another on the Network organised by Avocet Travel Management. If anybody  would like to express an interest in this, please contact Neil at enquiries@avocettm.co.uk . It is also hoped that a special photo evening will take place on the Friday evening organised by Jason Cross at the East Midlands Photographic Society.

Further details will be announced as and when they become available, please keep an eye on this website to keep up to date with information as well as the websites of the Deltic Preservation Society, Bluebell Railway, National Railway Museum and the KOYLI Group as below:-
